Hello Kitty Targets Men

According to this article, Sanrio is set to unveil a line of clothing and accessories for men using the famous Hello Kitty character.
"Young men these days grew up with character goods," said Sanrio spokesman, Kazuo Tohmatsu. "That generation feels no embarrassment about wearing Hello Kitty."
Maybe I'm an old fuddy duddy, stuck in a gender role generation gap, but Hello Kitty is for girls. As a matter of fact, it's for little girls. An adult woman who owns more than two or three items bearing the name or likeness of Hello Kitty is not only not cute, but needs to grow the hell up.
Hello Kitty is not for boys. Never was. Never will be.
