Something to think about... Only a small percentage of the WGA actually makes their living from union writing jobs, but all the "active" members of the union get to vote on the strike and vote on what the negotiators demand.
So, as this drags out, the majority of the WGA membership can afford to stand on principle, because their income doesn't come from union writing jobs. I bet if you polled just those WGA members who earned at least $40,000 from union jobs in 2007, their position on the strike might be quite different from the broader membership.
