In a recent blog post, web standards guru Jeffrey Zeldman bemoaned niggling and annoying incompatibilities between Macs running the "Tiger" version of OS X and the "Leopard" version of OS X.
Some commenters suggested he switch to Windows XP and be done with it (note they didn't suggest Vista).
Me, I was more philosophical about it. I've run into frustrations with OS X since I "switched," and some of Apple's choices seem as counterintuitive as any foolishness to come out of Redmond (see "Apple... Sometimes It Just Sucks"). So I posted this in my comments...
"Windows is fat and ugly with zits on its butt. OS X is skinny and beautiful... with zits on its butt. Whatever OS you choose, you're going to have to deal with the butt zits when you two get intimately acquainted."
