Way back when Pepsi teamed up with iTunes, the deal was that if you got a bottle with a code, you got a free download. Now, not all bottles had codes, but it was possible to peek and see if a bottle was a winner if you looked at the right angle. I got dozens of free songs.
In their new promotion with Amazon, you have to enter a code to get a point and songs cost 5 points. Here's the point chart:
- Bottles: 20 oz, 24 oz, 1 liter, 2 liter - 1 point per bottle
- 12 Ounce Cans: 6-packs are worth nothing, 8 packs and 12 packs are worth 2 points, 24 packs are worth 4 points
- 1/2 Liter Cans: 12-packs are worth 4 points
- Fountain Cups: at selected stores, 32 or 44 ounce cups are worth 1 point
So where's your best value? You might think it's in the cans, especially if your store is doing a "two 12 packs for $5" sale. But you'd be wrong. That would cost you $6.25 in Pepsi purchases per free song.
Your best value is in the 24 oz bottles. At my local supermarket they're running a "two 6-packs for $6" special on 24 ounce bottles (down from $4.79 per six-pack). Those twelve 24 ounce bottles offer as much soda as you'll find in a 24-can case, plus you get 12 points. Compare it to them selling a 24-pack of cans on sale for $6.49 (down from $9). You get as many ounces of soda, 3x as many points, and you save 49 cents.
If you go to Wal-Mart, their everyday price is $3.28 a 6-pack for the 24 ounce bottles (last I checked). That $2.73 in Pepsi purchases per song. Even when stuff isn't on sale, in terms of collecting points, it's your best value.
So, if you drink Pepsi products and plan to collect points, take my advice and collect smart. You can spend as much as $9 on cans just to pick up 4 points, or you can spend as little as $3.28 on bottles to get 6 points (enough for a song with a point left over). Your choice.

Good luck at "redeeming" your Pepsi Stuff points. A lot of people are having trouble redeeming them. I tried and all I got is SPAM from Amazon. Don't waste your time to save these worthless points...
I redeemed a few and cashed them in for a song. Got a bunch of caps I just haven't felt like entering. Probably should soon.
I didn't have any issues redeeming my pepsi points. I get no spam ever so they aren't so worthless as Adam says...kinda wonder if he is internet savy.
I'd love your points if you aren't going to use them.

I'd really appreciate it. I'm trying to save up and get my nephew a Pepsi Tshirt (Yes I know, no big deal)....but to him it's the coolest thing ever!
Quiznos was running a special where you get a 5 point code with a soda. thats a free mp3. I am trying to find out how i can find other such promotions.
Be warned: Amazon only lets you redeem points for certain songs, mostly recently released mass-label garbage.
Not all available songs are listed under the Pepsi Points section of the website, only (as mentioned" mass-label garbage). If you search, it's amazing what's available. I tend to search by both the song title AND the album in the regular search, & look for the blue Pepsi button next to the song. Sometimes the button won't be there for the song title, but will be there for the same song listed under the album search.
And to get MP3s, you only need to sign up with Amazon where Coke points require that you sign up with Coke AND sign up with Rhapsody.
