Now that Hillary lost the nomination, there's a lot of prognosticating about her next move. A lot of it talks about a Vice President nod or adopting her health care plan in the Democratic party platform. But Roger Simon at politico.com came up with the best reward for Hillary I've read yet... a seat on the Supreme Court.
The moment I read that, I was thinking "oh yeah, oh yeah". It's so perfect. I'll be praying for John Roberts to suffer some severe ethics scandal that forces him off the court (like video of him raping a puppy) so she can be Chief Justice.
If there's anything to make conservatives piss their pants, it's Hillary as a Supreme Court justice. She's got the legal chops, she can do the job, she'd be a guaranteed liberal vote, and she'd be a huge, honking "F*** You" to the neocons. We just need to make sure she replaced a conservative member instead of an outgoing liberal.
There's no telling whether she'd go for it, but if there's anyone I'd love to be a liberal voice on the court, it's her. I may not have wanted her to be President, but I'd LOOOOVE her on the Supreme Court. This is where her talents would just shine.
Obama for President, and Hillary for Justice. Can you say "dream team"?
