Just got this coming into my main address about 15 minutes ago. I'll post the text and then we'll discuss why it's bogus.

The first red flag, and one of the most common dead giveaways, is the contact information. It's from a nonsense string at a domain (this time bobandrobyn.com) that has absolutely no relation to the company it claims to be from (this time ACC & Finance International). Furthermore, rather than being asked to reply to the sender or to an address at a domain related to the company it's from, they ask you to reply to an address at gmail, hotmail, rocketmail, or some other free webmail service. That's a HUGE red flag that this is a scam.

Second red flag... All you need is a high school diploma and an optional year of experience in sales to go straight into a manager position. As your parents hopefully told you, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Third red flag... If you go to bobandrobyn.com, it's a personal page for a couple out of Oroville, California. If you look at the underlying mail headers, you'll find the mail actually originated out of Poland. Any unsolicited job offer from Eastern Europe is automatically suspect.

Add all of these three together and it's obviously a scam, most likely either to cash forged checks and wire them the money by Western Union before your bank gets wise to the forgery, or to get you to give up enough personal information that you can be a victim of identity theft.

Don't reply to these people, don't give them any personal information, and watch out for these red flags in the future. And just so you know, the folks at bobandrobyn.com had nothing to do with the spam. They weren't even hacked. If you know how to configure your mail program, you can put any "from" address on your outgoing e-mails and pretend to be anyone.

Best of luck to you.
