Kate,

They killed the picnic table a couple of years back when they took the spare tire off the back and mounted a smaller spare in the space the picnic table used to occupy.

Had an '03 CRV and love love loved it.

I have two kids and both were in car seats when I got it. Getting them in and out was easy peasy. There were two features it had that I used more than I ever thought I would when I bought it:

1. the center console between the front seats folded down. This means if I needed to change a diaper or get to the kids when it was raining, I could easily climb back and get to them without getting wet.

2. The picnic table in the trunk - Im not sure if its in the new design, but I had that thing out every week at the park, PTA events, etc.

I would totally buy a CRV again.
