Unless the baby decides to come early, tomorrow is the big day. We check in, they prep her, they cut her open, they pull the baby out, they sew her up, and we're officially a family of four.
I'll take our older son (3 years, 9 months old) down to the hospital on Tuesday to see "mommy" and meet his new little brother. Then she and the baby come home Friday.
Holy crap.
Then, in 3 weeks, my sister gets to go through the same thing, only in Ireland. Well, maybe the same thing. Her baby hasn't turned upside down yet, so they're going to try to manually turn her on Monday. If she (my sister's baby) won't cooperate, then my sister gets to have a scheduled c-section too.
So, for a nice last day at home, I made my wife white potatoes, pan fried in duck fat at breakfast. For dinner, I'm making a corned beef and pan frying some polenta slices in duck fat. I'll probably steam some sort of veggie, but I haven't decided which. I'm thinking I might steam it over the corned beef.
Pictures of baby "Twoboo" (oldest boy is "Booboo", second boy is "Twoboo") will be e-mailed to family and select friends eventually.
Ciao.
