So, Black Friday caused the death of a Wal-Mart worker as shoppers forced their way into a store, trampling him, a pregnant woman, and co-workers who tried to rescue him. When the store announced it would be closing because of the death, some people complained they'd been in line for hours and kept shopping.
Every Black Friday is chaos. There's always a story about a crowd at one Wal-Mart or another getting unruly. Wal-Mart knew that their first-come, first-served early morning discounts create crowd-control problems, but they didn't have enough security in place. Now someone's dead because of it.
I like Wal-Mart. Their prices really are low and they offer a huge selection. But this is unacceptable. I really hope that this guy's family has a good lawyer.

I agree 100%. I like Walmart too. Mine is a 24 hour and it works with my schedule. Every Black Friday it's the same thing. Either someone dies or someone gets badly hurt. Walmart does need more security. Maybe they also need to stop running these ads that make people crazy. They advertise their big sale. 52 INCH PLASMA SCREEN TV $59.97 5 AM to 8 AM ONLY! They only get two of whatever the big sale is (of course the above is an exaggeration - at least I hope) People get angry, frustrated, irritable and this is on top of being over tired from a busy Thursday and standing in line outside of Walmart for 4 hours in the middle of the night. Obviously something needs to change. Come on Walmart! Come on shoppers! No sale is really worth someone's life is it?
You left out one important fact.
WalMart then REOPENED several hours later.
Imagine being an employee, your friend and co-worker had just been crushed to death, but you`d better have your ass at that register ringing up some moron`s .99 potato chips.
ANYTHING for that almighty dollar.
WalMart. First Anti-American. Now, THIS.
WalMart. Never again, for me.
