yes please do another. I would love to see this get published, its a wonderful story, and I think a professional edditor who actualy knew what he was doing could get it just that little bit better, so I realy want to see what the difference is.

Having an audience that wants another story?
It's more likely than you think!

CAN WE PLZ HAS ANOTHR STORY?

Memes aside, yes, another story would be awesome. Just don't neglect getting this one published so we can buy it and support you in your writing.

I really enjoy this story, and look forward to finishing it. I would certainly subscribe if you plan to write another.
(. . . and someday, when you're as famous as Asimov and Niven, I'll brag to my grandchildren that I read your work a year before you hit the big time . . .)

Ok this line struck me as funny: A few minutes later, he envisioned a roll of toilet paper.

Another story would be good. This one has just had some really funny moments.

Yes, you should keep writing.
Yes, you should seek a publisher.
Yes, it's better than lots of stuff I've seen published or read.

Honestly, about the only thing I think you could have done better (and in my opinion, should probably go back and rectify) was go into more of Alain's background prior to his going clean and go into more depth to make his falling in love with Marie seem less like a schoolboy crush. I could think of lots of possibilities for the first and ways to do the second, but I like your style, so no advice on specifics. I think the way it's written now, I almost feel like Kurt had something of a just cause when he was griping at Alain about his kid sister's crush. Sure, something like that can build over decades, but generally the beginning of it takes some work. In the immortal words of gamblers everywhere... "Show me the money." Another side benefit to that, as a reader, I feel very connected to the characters, but not so much to Alain's reason for being there. More depth to his being with Marie might change that.

Just my thoughts.

Honestly Greg, I think this story is as good as anything you'd find in the fantasy/SF section of Barnes and Noble or Borders. Have you ever researched the submission process? Someone like Baen or Tor. I'd buy a copy, especially if you had the incentive to go back and flesh out other parts of Alain's history and his world in general.

Hi Brian I have really enjoyed this book so far and would like to read another. what's that famous line, "may I have another one, Sir." or whatever the word were. I like your style and the way you put your words and thoughts to paper.
