Freight Forwarding Assistant is required to receive packages during
the morning / afternoon hours from 9a.m. - 12p.m. The content of the
processed freight generally consists of wide range of products,
varying from clothing to digital products. The average size of the
freight does not exceed 30" x 10" x 10", and the weight does not
exceed 25lb.

As a Freight Forwarding Assistant you will be working from home, at
the department of Business Process Outsourcing, under direct guidance
of the Department Manager, who will serve as your supervisor
throughout the entire period of your employment at the Company, and to
whom you will report on a daily basis using My Delivery Integrated
Virtual Office System. Besides maintaining contact with the
supervisor, in the Virtual Office System you will also be receiving
the detailed information pertinent to the freight forwarding
assignments for further processing.

Freight Forwarding Assistant position is salaried-exempt position.
Base salary is paid in monthly installments of $1.500 during the
probationary period; $2.200 after the probationary period has been
satisfactorily completed, and is equivalent to $25.000 on an annual
basis. The probationary period is two months and the expiration is
based upon satisfactory completion of the the goals and objectives
setup in the performance development planning process by the
Department Manager. The base salary isn't subject to tax deductions.
Being hired as an independent contractor, all the tax matters are to
be handled without the employers involvement.

As an My Delivery Inc employee, you will be expected to abide by the
Company's rules and standards. Specifically, you will be required to
sign an employment agreement, which can be found in the attached.
Please have the contract reviewed in its entirety to thoroughly
familiarize with the employment provisions. In order to avoid any
possible misunderstanding on your behalf, it is suggested that you
also have the employment agreement reviewed by a legal counsel. If

It's really sad because it is bad out there and folks like me and the others here are the ones getting hurt the most. Although I do write for an online publication, it doesn't pay all that well and I need something to supplement my income as I have been laid-off from my regular profession since 2008. And no one is hiring!

I did forward the emails and the Word formatted employment contract to an attorney friend of mine, (thank God I have one of those!) and I'm waiting to hear from him with his take on things, and any advice he may have on what, if any actions I might take.
