I've seen the follow-up email from this scam on another site (I went surfing after I received a similar email). The underlying scam is the fake check and wire scam. They send you a check, which you are supposed to deposit. You keep part of the check, then withdraw the rest from your account to wire as a money order and to pay fees for that money order. A few days later, the check bounces since it was fake, and you are out the money that you withdrew. The timing is important, as is the method you are supposed to use to transfer the funds. They send you a check because it will take it a few days to be run through the system. They demand that you send the wire the same day as you cash the check. The wire can't be refunded, as there is little control over checking to see who really received the wire.
