So, there's a porn actress by the name of Shyla Stylez. A friend sent me a link to her Wikipedia entry, crowing about how there was a hot, female, Jewish porn star (back then they were listing her birth name as Amanda Friedman, but now it appears that Amanda Friedland was her married name for a short while).

Now, I sometimes just free-associate terms and check if they're registered domain names. It can be fun. How else would I discover that domains like girlsgoneamish.com and pimpmystarship.com were available? So, probably due to "Amanda Friedman" burbling around in my unconscious, I decided to see if jewsinporn.com was available. Taken. Also taken was jewishpornstars.com.

I'd thought I could do some research, see if there were any other porn stars who were Jewish and do a salute to my horny Hebrew sisters and brothers. So when I found out someone had already taken those names, I was sort of excited. Maybe someone had already thought this up and done the research. I wouldn't have the fun of doing the site myself, but at least it existed.

If you read the title of this entry, you know what I found when I went to those sites... Just a page of generic porn ads at each. Now maybe there is such a site, pointing out Jews acting in porn films (and killing their mothers in the process). I haven't Googled to see if one exists. But jewsinporn.com and jewishpornstars.com are the ultimate memorable names. They're the ones you can say on the radio and have them stick in people's heads. And instead of being put to good use entertaining people or informing the world that Jews are sexy enough to do porn... they're being squatted by money grubbing dinguses who take all the fun out of the web.

Dang domain squatters.

  1. I am tempted to ask if there is a way to setup rules that forbid squatting and don't ban any real domain uses.
