I can't get the USB Connect in my notifications menu to pop up on my Moment (working on a Mac desktop). Any ideas? I don't have Snow Leopard, I have the version before that.

If you're using a non-iPod, then you're going to need a third party tool like DoubleTwist to help sync your device and iTunes. iTunes will not sync natively with any device that isn't an iPod. They were able to make the Palm Pre trick iTunes into thinking it was an iPod, but each time they did that, Apple released a new version of iTunes that couldn't be tricked that way.

With something like DoubleTwist, it will only sync non-DRMed content from iTunes, but it makes an end run around iTunes by using the iTunes API to import your playlists, then moving the music files itself instead of having iTunes do it.

And my name's Greg, not Brian.
