Brian Bonsall Goes Former Child Star Crazy
Posted by Greg Bulmash in Television, WASHED-UPdateBrian Bonsall, the cute little kid from the sitcom "Family Ties", was arrested for investigation of assault. According to police, he hit a friend with a broken stool during an altercation at an apartment complex outside Boulder, Colorado. Allegedly, he claims he was drinking and doesn't remember what happened.
Bonsall has a prior assault conviction from a 2007 assault on his girlfriend that resulted in probation.

When I saw the story, I couldn't tell who the guy was from the picture, so I had to read the name and had a Keanu Reeves style "Whoa" moment...
I was thinking the tats are bad, if you're going to keep breaking the law. Too easy for the cops to spot. lol!
Not surprised that a child star has an assault arrest record; in between the show and growing up, Real Life happens.
Never mind "Who gets a butterfly (etc.) tattoo on their neck?" and move straight on to "Who dates a guy with a butterfly (etc.) tattoo on their neck?"
I dunno...he looks like a well-adjusted human being to me.
Well it seems most of the kid stars form the late 70s to late 80's have turned bad, to bad such a sweet little kid went insane wwhen he foud short stardom. It all went to his head and out of control this is what Holly wood does. Brings a kid into sitcoms and movies makes them a overnight star. The job ends and they turn bad look at Rip Torn and Bossall, Gary Coleman, Dana Plato, and the list goes on.
Hollywood needs to teach these actors from a get go have something else to fall back on. It may be a short ride or long ride, depends on the gigs and how much you want it and if you make the A list.
